To all Spinal customers and fans. We are changing the way we do things here at Spinal. The dates are not set in yet but there are going to be major changes here. To start off we are introducing a new line up of blanks. We are currently updating the website with all the models and information but it will take several weeks for everything to go through. Meanwhile feel free to email me at info@spinalrods.com, call, text, what ever you like for questions.

The new blanks will offer 2 styles of blanks. One style is a new composite blank that is strong and light and available in three size jigging models. The blanks are made here in the USA and will be 5' 6". They will be around $100 for the blank and built rods will range from $225-$300 depending on components and style of build. Secondly there is a new series of jigging and popping blanks that are the creme of the crop and will compete with the highest of manufacturers out there. The blanks will be around $200-$300 depending on model. They are made over seas by composite tubing in NZ and Australia with one of the leading engineers using carbon and kevlar laminates. These rods built will be in the $500-$700 range depending on style and components.

The other news is we are changing our business model. There are no more factory built production rods. We are building every rod for the customer as the orders come in. Each rod will be semi custom and built here by either me or one of my employees. There will be no outsourcing of any kind, no sub contractors, etc. All built rods will be inspected by me personally. With this said we are now going factory direct. There will be a very limited amount of dealers if any at all. We are doing this to keep the cost down and and quality.

Other advantages to this style of rod building is now the customer will be able to decide on exactly what rod they want within limits. You will be able to chose what guides you want, what colors, what type of reel seat, etc. Like I said each rod will be semi custom. We are even upgrading our rod finishes and epoxies used for reel seats and gimbals. Each rod will get only the best materials for the job. We will even offer a variety of butt wraps for the customer that want the fancy look.

Sorry for the long post but I feel it is time to let you all know of the future changes and what to expect. I look forward to the new adventure and like I said from the beginning I am learning as the business grows and feel this is the best way to provide a better product for all to benefit from.

Thanks for your support over the last two years and I'm excited to be doing what I love. Keep your eyes open for the new site to have all the new info in about a months time or so.

Thanks
Travis
